The invitation keeps talking about my child. How do I fix that?
In Details, change Who replies? from “Parents, for their kids” to “Guests, for themselves”. The wording flips everywhere at once — “Find your name on the guest list”, “Your first name”, “Other adults coming with you” — and a claimed line reads “Priya” rather than “Maya's family”. Leave the occasion on Class or school party while you do it: that's the one that ships the school snack list.
Two of us are organising it. Can we both run the invitation?
No, and it's worth knowing before you start. An event has one owner — the account that created it — and there is no second login to hand out. Your co-organiser cannot edit the details, add a name, or move anyone off a waitlist. What you can genuinely share is everything on the invitation itself: the link, the who's-coming list, the what-to-bring list, and the party chat if you switch it on — it starts off. In practice one of you holds the login and the other works from the link like everybody else.
How does someone say they're bringing the lasagne?
Replying is the only gate. Before a teacher has said they're coming the card reads “Say you're coming above, then you can pick something to bring”; afterwards every open line grows a button — “I'll bring this” on a single line, “I'll bring one” where a line takes several hands, which then asks what you're bringing. “Not any more” hands it back, right up to the day. You can take a line yourself from the Food tab too; everyone else sees it as “The host has this”.
It's a whole week, not one lunch.
Then it's more than one invitation. There are no recurring events and no multi-week rota here — one event is one date with one bring list. A Monday breakfast and a Thursday lunch are two events and two links, which is fine for two. If you're trying to cover five days of shifts from one page, this isn't the tool for that part of the job.
