How do I stop more people turning up than the room holds?
Set a capacity — any number from 1 to 500 — and the RSVP form does the arithmetic as replies land. A watch party counts every head: the guest, plus each other adult coming with them. The reply that would push the total past your number is saved as a waitlist reply and tells that guest “The party is at capacity right now — the host will confirm if a spot opens up.”
Someone drops out — does the next person on the waitlist get told?
Not by itself. Moving a guest from the waitlist to Going in Responses sends them nothing at all, so the promotion is silent until you say something. Tap them over, then send a party update — that's the message that reaches them.
What's on the watch party bring list, and who can claim a line?
One tap on “Start from the Watch party list” lays out five lines and eight slots: two lots of hot wings, two of chips & dip, a cooler of drinks (“some with, some without”), two 2-liters of soda and something sweet. Replying is the only gate — until a guest says they're coming the card reads “Say you're coming above, then you can pick something to bring”, and after that every open line grows a claim button — “I'll bring this” on a single line, “I'll bring one” where a line takes several hands. The quantities are fixed, not sized from the headcount: a slot stepper in the Food tab takes any line up to twelve, and it won't drop one below what guests have already claimed.
People are bringing their kids — do they count against the cap?
Only if you ask about them. A watch party starts with “Ask about kids” switched off, so the reply doesn't mention kids and the cap counts adults. Switch it on in your party's settings and each guest can add up to five kids — and from then on those kids count against the cap too.
